1. The 3 point safety belt, lap & shoulder, is the safest safety belt system because its benefits far exceed that of the lap belt only.
2. The seat belt doesn’t seem to hold me in place (for example I can lean forward) so the safety belt system isn’t working properly.
3. I’m only going a short distance so I don’t really need to wear my seat belt.
4. My vehicle has airbags so I don’t need to wear a seat belt.
5. I am a really good driver so I don’t need to wear a seat belt.
6. I sit in the backseat, therefore I don’t need to buckle up.
7. Being ejected from a vehicle in a crash is safer than staying in the vehicle during the crash.

10. Drivers are responsible to ensure that all passengers up to the age of 18 are buckled up no matter where they sit in the vehicle.
